A Deepening Relationship In Christ

Ending our ‘Deeply’ sermon series

I hope that the ‘Deeply’ sermon series that followed our theme for 2023 has made a meaningful impact on your life, just as it has on mine. You can find the podcasts of these sermons on our website at lifeconnect.church. As we conclude this series, it's important for us to be diligent and ensure that the deepening of our relationship with God and with one another continues.

Wedding in the house

A heartfelt congratulations to Tristan and Xang, who tied the knot on November 26th. While they are not the first couple for whom I have officiated (though they are the first from this church), their union emphasises the mystery and miracle that is marriage. Only God can bring two distinct individuals from diverse backgrounds into a covenant—a match truly made in heaven.

Mums & Kids | Dads & Kids

The time mothers spent with their kids at Mt. Victoria and the fathers' fishing time with their kids in Kaiapoi provided wonderful opportunities for fellowship, not only between parents and their children but also among the parents themselves. We plan to organise more events like these to foster the children's enjoyment and growth within the church community.

EoY ConnecTNZ

The teenagers concluded their year-end gathering with enjoyable activities, games, and conversations addressing the challenges that teens commonly encounter. Following the event, the youth leaders engaged in a planning session for the upcoming year. Anticipating the implementation of their well-thought-out plans, I am excited about the prospects of an exhilarating year ahead for this group.

Joy to the World’ Christmas celebration

What a way to wind up the Church year – celebrating the essence of Christmas. Jesus Christ’s birth symbolises hope for humanity, forgiveness of sins, triumph over sin and death, and the promise of the glorious return of our Lord and Saviour. This is the greatest Christmas gift we could ever have received from God! A wonderful reason to rejoice!

Mark these dates!

Come and join us on January 14th for the inaugural Sunday service of the year. Hear God's message for us as we reveal the Church's theme for 2024.

On January 27th, join us for a LifeConnect Groups family day at the Harvard Lounge in Wigram. As a change from the usual Sunday schedule, this event will take place on Saturday due to venue availability. The venue offers a spacious outdoor area for enjoyable games. The culmination of the day will be a boodle fight, a Filipino communal dining tradition where various Filipino dishes are presented on banana leaves covering a long table, and participants eat with their hands. Not to be missed!
